Reducing Challenging Behavior for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder

This one day virtual course is designed for teachers and other certified school personnel serving students with ASD who demonstrate challenging behavior in the school setting.  Upon completion participants will be able to identify the functions of behavior, aka the “why”.  

Course Objectives: 

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1.  Describe the components of challenging behavior.
2.  Determine reason why challenging behavior occurs.
3.  Reduce challenging behavior through preventive strategies,  teaching new skills, and positive reinforcement. 

Course Format: 

This course will be a full-day online training.
