Identifying and Supporting Children with Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities

WHAT IS EARLY CARE CONNECTIONS?
The goal of Early Care Connections is to provide quality professional development for early care and learning professionals in the areas of early identification, autism, and other developmental disabilities. This training series consists of 4 evening sessions focused on identifying and supporting children with autism and other developmental delays and will be centered around participant discussion and input. This will be an opportunity to discuss and learn about important issues with your peers and experts on topics related to identifying and including children with developmental delays in a childcare setting. Early Care Connections is presented by the Oklahoma Autism Center, a part of the OU Health Sciences Center, and is provided with the support of the Oklahoma Clearinghouse for Early Childhood Success. Our second training series is currently underway (and fully booked) but we will be scheduling additional series in the future.

IS IT FREE?
Yes, this training is free (and then some)! Completion of the 4 one-hour sessions provides 0.4 CECPD credits for eligible providers. Not only that, but participants will receive a gift card credit for each session they attend (distributed after the end of the series). Childcare Centers who’s providers attend will also receive credit toward pre-approved items for centers (toys, classroom supplies, etc).
